SECO USA and Rajant Build Wireless Network Solution for Military, Civilian First Responders

Elf3 is at the heart of Rajant’s low-power BreadCrumb wireless platform
August 9, 2005, Rockville, Maryland – SECO USA, a leading provider of powerful, ultra-portable wireless device platforms and power management software today announced that Rajant Corp. has incorporated SECO USA’s Elf3 reference platform into its latest rapidly deployable line of wireless network products, the BreadCrumb wireless LAN.
With the push of a single button, the BreadCrumb wireless access point devices immediately establish a multi-unit seamlessly integrated network for setting up and maintaining wireless communications or military and civilian first responders.
“Rajant’s wireless and power requirements were the most important challenges that were met to build the BreadCrumb,” said Andrew Girson, Chief Technology Officer at SECO USA. “Elf3’s power optimization coupled with its wireless capabilities minimize the number of BreadCrumb ground stations and setup time for first responders.”
Jim Washington, President of Rajant said, “Our BreadCrumb products take advantage of the low-power, peripheral support, wireless networking, and rugged design of SECO USA’s Elf3 platform. SECO USA’s solid military background is strong validation that the products are built to withstand physical and network demands.”
The BreadCrumb line of products is available now from Rajant. The Elf3 platform for developers of next-generation wireless devices is available from SECO USA.
